This workshop was organized by RSM Nelson Wheeler, and there were three modules in this year: “China and the United States Taxation”, “Hong Kong and International Taxation”, and “Hong Kong Capital Market”.
The objectives of this workshop were to enhance audience understanding of the recent developments in Hong Kong, China, the United States and International Taxation by highlighting changes compared with the old tax regulations; the latest practices adopted by the respective tax authorities; and the recent developments in Hong Kong capital market.
This is the Day 2 of the workshop. We addressed two aspects. We mentioned some recent court cases and their implications on Hong Kong profit tax, advance pricing arrangement in Hong Kong, and some updates on Hong Kong double taxation arrangements.
We also highlighted some key international taxation issues such as transfer pricing, business restructuring, intangibles and indirect transfer of shares / equity.
